Eighth Station of the Resurrection

They Knew it was The Lord

They went fishing; but that night they caught nothing. Just at dawn, Jesus stood on the shore, though the disciples did not realise that it was Jesus. He called out to them, “Have you caught anything, friends?” And when they answered, “No.” He said, “Throw the net out to starboard and you will find something” So they cast it, and there were so many fish that they could not haul it in. The disciple Jesus loved said to Peter , “It is the Lord”. When they came ashore they saw some bread and a charcoal fire, with fish cooking on it. Jesus said to them, “Come and have breakfast.” None of the disciples dared ask him, “Who are you?” They knew it was the Lord. Jesus came and took the bread and gave it to them, and the same with the fish.

John 21: 3- 7, 9-13
